A WANBOROUGH agency received an accreditation for paying all of its employees a living wage.

Venues and Events International has been formally accredited by the national Living Wage Foundation

The company joins more than 5,000 UK businesses that voluntarily pay every employee a living wage because they believe the national minimum wage is not sufficient.

Commercial and marketing director Josephine Bradley spearheaded the project at the agency.

She said: “This is a fantastic accolade and we’re thrilled to have achieved it. Our team are what sets us apart from our competitors so it’s key that we listen to them and reward their hard work.

"This ensures all of our current and future team members receive a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work.

"Our consultative approach along with the knowledge and experience within our team is what sets us apart.

"We’ve bought in industry experts, who bring a wealth of experience to the sector that allows us to deliver a personalised, high quality service."

It is working with the Swindon-based Torchlight Group to deliver cyber security conferences across the globe on behalf of the Foreign Office.

The agency finds venues and manages events for other firms and has more than 30 years of experience in the sector.
