A NEEDLE-POINT robbery accused had his trial adjourned to next week – for lack of court time.
Damien Lynch, 36, of Castle Close, West Swindon, is accused of threatening staff at two Co-operative stores with a drugs needle in a bid to steal alcohol on March 26 and March 27.
He was due to face trial yesterday at Swindon Crown Court on two counts of robbery, which Lynch denies.
However, the case was adjourned after the court found itself busy with other trials.
Judge Peter Crabtree OBE remanded Lynch into custody to appear before the crown court on Monday, August 12.
Gregory Gordon appeared for the Crown and Mary Cowe for Lynch.
