A RAW pet food manufacturer from Wiltshire reached the regional finals of the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Poppy's Picnic is nominated in the Entrepreneur's Team of the Year category.

Founder Dylan Watkins launched the company in 2016 to make it easy for people to feed their prized pooches a fresh raw food diet.

He said: "We entered the Team of the Year category because, as the GBEA team say 'No man is an island' and that couldn't be more true in my experience as an entrepreneur.

"I rely on my team, from the wonderful Very Important Paws team answering customer queries, to our butchers, marketeers and operations team, to be able to deliver our customers and their dogs' award-winning food.

"I’m thrilled that we are all being recognised together."

If successful at the regional finals, Poppy’s Picnic will bid for the grand prize at the national finals in London later this year.

The company received four offers on Dragons' Den in 2018 and has appeared on This Morning, Come Dine With Me and BBC radio stations in London and Wiltshire.
