HERE is everything you need to know about the Swindon and Wiltshire Pride celebrations on Saturday.

The centrepiece of the festival will see a parade with a 50-metre rainbow flag travel through Old Town from the Town Gardens at 11.15am, go along the High Street, Wood Street and Bath Road before circling back to the start.

To take part in the parade, which is sponsored by Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue, meet at 10:45am by the Springfield Road entrance of Town Gardens. Spectators can line the parade route, with Wood Street being the main area to watch the festivities.

The park area of the Town Gardens will be open from 12pm to 10.30pm, with activities based around the theme Festival of Visibility in a craft zone, community zone, shopping zone, arts and family zone, DJ stage, public pride tent and Stephen G Sloan Stage.

The main stage at the Old Town Bowl will host an array of entertainment from 1pm with headliners N-Trance closing the event at 9.45pm and special guest La Voix from Britain's Got Talent at 4.50pm. 

The lineup also includes Sister Sister, Emily Price, Blind Lemon, Pulse, Danny Wright, and the Fabulous Miss Bridy and the 2 Notes.

Businesses from around Swindon have been invited to join in the fun with their own colourful displays.

No glass bottles are allowed in the park. Alcohol brought into the park is restricted Each person can bring at most four 250ml cans of premixed spirits or four 568ml cans or a two-litre plastic bottle of beer, lager or cider with them.

The main gate will close at 9pm. Dogs are allowed around the park on leads but not in the Old Town Bowl area with the exception of guide dogs, hearing dogs, dogs’ for the Disabled and dogs for teaching purposes by the Animal Welfare and Veterinary Nursing Team.

Bring sensible footwear and a raincoat in case of downpours.

An official after party will be held at Level 3 from 10pm til late. Tickets are £6.50 when booked in advance at swindonwiltshirepride.co.uk/swpevents or £7.50 on the door.
