Officers swooped after traffic cameras flagged a driver wanted on a court warrant.
Two people were arrested on suspicion of theft in the car park of Tesco Express in Lyneham.
A spokeswoman for Wiltshire Police said: "Around 8.30pm on Thursday, in Royal Wootton Bassett, an ANPR activation alerted officers to a person that was wanted on warrant for failing to appear at court."
A 36-year-old man from Swindon and a 39-year-old woman, also from Swindon, were arrested and taken to Gablecross police station.
