A travelling planetarium is coming to the Steam Museum.

The Explorer Dome is arriving on August 15 and will host three sessions at the museum's Hawksworth Hall.

The sessions aim to introduction to one of science’s most interesting topics.

It will feature an interactive guide to earth’s local neighbourhood with the opportunity to ask the big questions, explore interests and learn how to spot constellations.

Swindon-based virtual reality firm Altro-Orbis will be there with VR activities, including a solar system space tour and a VR spacewalk.

The sessions take place at 10.15am, 11.30am and 1pm and last approximately one hour.

The £5.50 tickets must be booked in advanced and is suitable for adults and children over four.
