TRIBUTES were paid to a former GP who served the people of Swindon for 35 years.

Dr Ravindra Nath moved to Swindon in 1967 and practised at Empire House Surgery, Moredon Medical centre and Queen’s Park surgeries for more than three decades.

He died earlier this month. Adver readers shared their fond memories and deepest condolences.

NANCY DAWSON: “The kindest, warm-hearted person I had the pleasure to have called a friend. Love to all the family. Thoughts are with you all.”

SHARON ROBINSON: “Dr Nath was such a lovely man. He helped me through a difficult situation and I will always remember his compassion and understanding.”

TINA FLEMINGTON: “A lovely doctor who really cared for his patients. When Moredon Medical Surgery had caring doctors that had time and passion for the job they do. Thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.”

VERONICA CASEY: “ Lovely doctor and a great man who understood with kindness and compassion. I never did get the chance to say thank you for all the help and support he gave my dad.”

CHARLOTTE SOFFE: “Loved by all! I am so pleased I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing such an incredible man!”

PHILLIP SKEATES: “I had the pleasure of being one of his patients for over a decade. Not only a knowledgeable doctor but more importantly a gentleman. A massive loss to Swindon and the NHS.”

CAROLINE SMITH: “He was such a lovely and compassionate doctor.”

CAROLINE STOUT: “Dr Nath was my doctor when I was a baby and my childhood doctor. From what I remember, he was a very kind and lovely doctor.”

SHIRLEY ROBERTS: “Lovely man, never had and don’t think we will ever get such a lovely good doctor. Very sad day when he retired.”

SONIA ELLIS: “He was my doctor for over 20 years. I used to tell him my problems and he would listen, no hurrying me up. He was the best ever doctor I ever had. RIP, you have been missed since you retired.”

TRACE HAWKINS: “So sad, a true gentleman and a top doctor who was there for all four of my pregnancies. RIP.”

CATHERINE MILLIGAN: “So sad to hear that Dr Nath has passed away. He was my doctor from when he joined Empire surgery until he retired.

“What a wonderful man he was. Compassionate, caring and always had time for his patients.”

FIONA O’CONNELL: “Ah, what a truly lovely man, he was the best GP ever.”

JOE RAED: “Dr Nath was a family friend and my own GP for many years. He always showed care and compassion to all his patients.

“My lasting memory of him will be driving me to the Churchill hospital in Oxford in 2013 when I was receiving radiotherapy. A truly lovely man.”

‘ELVISJNR: “Dr Nath was a lovely man. I remember seeing him and the wonderful Dr Alder when I was a child. They are both the best doctors I have ever had. Rest in peace, sir.”

‘KOSMOS’: “He was an outstanding example of humanity to us all.”
