The return of Swindon and Wiltshire Pride has been hailed as a big success.

The event's social media manager Andy Midwinter said: “It has been an exciting year seeing all of our ideas come together, so to see the day turn out to be such a huge success is incredibly special.

"We have received so many fantastic messages over the weekend which really does make all of the hard work worthwhile.

"We would like to thank those who came along to support the event, our incredible volunteers, the performers, and everyone that helped us in our bid to make Swindon & Wiltshire Pride something that we can all be proud of.”

Stephen Carville of sponsors Nationwide walked in the parade. He said: "Walking with our members, family and friends in the parade is the most colourful, invigorating and engaging way to show support for the community. To have thousands of onlookers cheer us on is just the best feeling ever. Every year the Pride parade is a day we all really enjoy, and we are so lucky to be a part of such a memorable way to support diversity and inclusion together.”
