THREE men arrested during two drugs raids in West Swindon have been released under investigation.

The trio aged 39. 40 and 45, were taken into custody on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs during warrants in Crawford Close and Thornford Drive at 10pm on Thursday night.

Sgt James Rodrigues led the operation and said: “Officers acted upon community intelligence regarding drug dealing within the community. Warrants were sought and granted by the courts and executed, with a quantity of drugs, cash and paraphernalia being located at both addresses. Three men were located and our enquiries are ongoing. In addition to this, a woman was also interviewed in connection with the offences. They all currently remain under investigation.

Drugs, while often seen as a victimless crime, can blight a community and it is crucial that members of the public let us know if they suspect drug activity in their neighbourhood, not just so we can target offenders, but also protect vulnerable people within our communities.

“I would like to take this opportunity to remind people that we have a zero tolerance stance to drug dealing within our communities. Anyone that has information relating to drug supply should report this to police on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
