A MAN accused of blocking the lawful burial of a woman's body will face a crown court judge.
Stan Lee Marvel, 36, of no fixed address, appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with preventing the lawful and decent burial of a dead body.
It is said that between November 27 and December 1 in Amesbury last year, Marvel without lawful excuse prevented the burial of the dead body of Samantha Dixon.
Marvel entered no pleas to the charge and was bailed to appear before Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 19 for a plea and trial preparation hearing. Under his bail conditions he must report to Trowbridge police station every Monday and Friday.
