A MAN accused of robbing another on a night out in Chippenham has been told he faces prison.
Appearing before Swindon Crown Court yesterday dressed in a suit and tie, Thomas Dymond, 21, of Shockerwick Lane, Bath, pleaded guilty to attempted robbery of a wallet.
The theft bid is said to have happened on a night out in the Wiltshire town on December 14 last year.
Judge Peter Crabtree ordered a pre-sentence report from the probation service, but warned Diamond he could still be jailed: βItβs a serious offence, potentially one where custody is the only outcome.β
His co-defendant, Kane Fernandez, 22, of Gastons Road, Chippenham, pleaded not guilty to attempted robbery. He was granted unconditional bail for the trial on December 3.
The trial is expected to last between two and three days.
