An annual clay shoot in aid of Swindon charity TWIGS is set to fire off this month.

The event takes place at Barbury Shooting School on September 25 and will be sponsored once again by Optimum Professional Services, who plan to field two teams to take part.

CEO Richard Mathews said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the annual clay shoot again, supporting this fantastic Swindon charity, which does so much to help people with mental health issues.”

The community garden project based in Cheney Manor supports people with mental health issues and dementia.

"Tori Phipps, fundraiser with TWIGS, said: “We’re very much looking forward to the annual clay shoot, which is now in its ninth year. We would like to say a big thank you to Optimum for supporting it once again.”

Individuals and teams of four are welcome to join and the cost is £120 per person. Bacon rolls, guns, cartridges, buffet lunch and a helping hand for novices will be provided. The event runs from 9am to 2pm.
