THE Brighter Futures' handbag amnesty will return to the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet this weekend.

The event raised almost £3,000 for the charity in February and organisers hope shoppers will be just as generous this time.

A range of bags, scarves and purses will be on sale throughout Saturday and Sunday.

GWH Community and events fundraising manager Michelle Leighton said: "We are so excited to once again be working with the outlet on the handbag amnesty. This is a really good event which raises funds to improve the services and care we provide to the residents of Swindon and further afield who visit our hospital.”

The public donated so many items to sell last time that no more are needed for this one.

Bag brand Paul Costelloe gifted a handbag that can be won by purchasing raffle tickets at the pop-up shop on Saturday. The company will also be offering an exclusive discount to shoppers who visit the handbag amnesty that can be spent in the Paul Costelloe shop over the weekend.
