TRIBUTES have been paid to a volunteer who served the Rhyl RNLI for more than 40 years.
Gordon Williams, a former Crew member and tractor driver of Rhyl, died aged 76 earlier today.
Tributes have flooded in for Gordon on social media, with 54 people paying there respects in just an hour.
A spokesperson for Rhyl RNLI said: "It is with heavy hearts that Rhyl Lifeboat crew announce the passing of former crew member, 1st tractor driver and fervent supporter of the station for over 40 years Gordon Williams
"Fair winds and following seas, shipmate.
"Now reunited with his Twin brother David, our prayers go out to Ruth at this sad time.
"Always ready to speak his mind, but with a true heart of gold.
"Farewell friend, you will be sadly missed on station."
