A SWINDON comedian has been shortlisted for the Funny Women Awards.
Charlie George from Toothill had to crack the best jokes to beat 433 entrants and make it to the shortlist.
The former Greendown and Bradon Forest School pupil is one of nine in the finals in the category.
She won the LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year award earlier this year.
She was a finalist for Pride's got Talent 2018 and a runner-up in So You Think You’re Funny.
After putting on a live performance for the BBC, Charlie was described as “hilarious and no messin'” by the BBC Asian Network Comedy.
Now living in London she is playing gigs across the city in September and will be performing in Manchester, Bristol and Hull.
