WROUGHTON Whippetts is back with its fifth Hackpen Hill 10km run.

This year all the money that is raised will be going to Great Western Hospital's charity Brighter Futures.

Donations to the charity help improve the hospital's environment and better equipment to treat cancer patients.

The community and events fundraising manager for Wroughton Whippetts, Michelle Leighton, said: This is a great event for anybody looking to get out in the fresh air and take on a challenge.

“You can run or walk the route, but there will be prizes for the first three men and women to cross the finish line."

One organiser has helped with the event since it first started, Paul Bailey said: “We originally set this run up in memory of Gill Hussey, who passed away from breast cancer. Her wish was for Brighter Futures to be supported, and the run has just grown and grown since."

The run is on September 15 from 10am. Anyone wanting to run can book on the Entry Central website.
