Members of Swindon Borough Council’s growing the economy overview and scrutiny committee will escape their Euclid Street base next week.
Wednesday’s meeting will see the councillors visit the redeveloped Carriage Works in Railway Village.
The authority has revamped the empty GWR workshops to create the Workshed, a shared office space for start-ups.
Soon the Royal Agricultural University will open its Cultural Heritage Institute at the site.
More units have been given planning approval for conversion into office lets.
Councillors will visit the premises and speak to occupiers.
The committee will discuss the work of the Honda Task Group set up after the announcement of the closure of the company’s South Marston plant and plans for a park and ride.
Members of the public are able to attend the meeting, which starts at 6.30pm.
