Swindon will officially join a nationwide eco-friendly movement next week.
Transition Swindon is an umbrella group under which other eco-friendly and socially responsible organisations can be connected.
“At this next meeting Swindon is going to be made officially part of the Transition Network,” said Glynis Hales, organiser of the group.
“This will allow us to have resources available to support us, and enable people to know what we’re doing.
“Transition includes a lot of things, such as what we do with our plastics and supporting the community and people with mental health problems.
“It is a holistic approach to sustainability – humans, plants, animals, the environment and the economy,” Glynis added.
The next meeting will be at Central Community Centre on September 23 at 7.30pm. To get involved phone 078288 47300 or email glynishales@gmail.com.
