A WOMAN has been charged with drink driving, assaulting police and threatening behaviour after a crash in Lydiard Millicent earlier this week.
Sarah Michalek, of Cowleaze, Purton, is due before Swindon Magistrates' Court on October 16.
It follows an incident on Tuesday night that saw Royal Wootton Bassett police called to reports of a crash in Lydiard Millicent.
A woman, man and a child left the scene, but were traced to a home in Wootton Bassett. The woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
Taken to Great Western Hospital, it is said she assaulted three police officers, kicking, punching and spitting them.
Ms Michalek has been charged with driving whilst unfit through drink, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, three counts of assaulting an emergency worker, threatening behaviour, and neglect of a child.
