Pumpkin lovers will soon be able to head to a farm just outside Swindon to pick their own fruits this autumn.

From October 14, Lotmead Farm will be offering visitors the chance to pick their own pumpkin in a dedicated area of the farm.

Farm Manager John Meaden explained: “For the past few years we have had a number of people asking us if we could offer pumpkins and I’m pleased to now be able to add them to the list of 14 fruits and vegetables that have been available at Lotmead over the season.

“A variety of different sized pumpkins, as well as squashes and gourds will be available whilst stocks last in the run up to Halloween.

"We will also have carving kits and accessories, as well as plenty of spooky inspiration to get everyone in the Halloween spirit."

A children's pumpkin picture hunt will also be available.

The pick your own season closes October 31.
