IN THE DOCK: Poor driving, thefts and bilking offences before Swindon Magistrates' Court

Janusz Pielak, 58, of Queens Drive, faces charges of theft and harassing a man. The case was adjourned to October 2.

TOWN CENTRE: Shadab Khan, 33, of Deacon Street, has been fined £530 after he pleaded guilty to allowing another to drive an uninsured and damaged Mercedes van on false number plates.

The Sprinter van had damage to its rear end and its rear lights, indicators and brake lights were not working.

Khan was ordered to pay £133 in costs and surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

WILTSHIRE: James Diprose, 33, of Peasdown St John, was ordered to pay £200 compensation after he admitted stealing two trolley loads of goods from Morrisons in Chippenham in January and March. He must also pay £85 costs.

TOWN CENTRE: Jake Wills, 22, of Harding Street, denies using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause another man to fear unlawful violence would be used against them. He was bailed for the trial on December 5 at Swindon Magistrates’ Court.

SWINDON: Julian Johnson, 36, of Fenton Close, London, denies driving a Mini on Great Western Way whilst he was disqualified from driving and when he was uninsured. He was bailed for the trial at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on November 18.

M4: John Maughan, 45, of Blagrove Lane, Wokingham, pleaded guilty to driving on the M4 near Swindon while disqualified from holding a licence and whilst there was no insurance policy for his Peugeot car. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points and he was ordered to complete 24 rehabilitation days.

Maughan was fined £50 and ordered to pay £140 in costs and surcharge, as the driving offences were committed whilst he was subject to a suspended sentence, made last November for an offence of racially aggravated criminal damage.

HAYDON WICK: Christian Aspinall, 42, of Spring Close, pleaded guilty to using violence to obtain entry to a home in Haydon Wick on April 9, beating a woman, damaging her door and possession of cocaine.

He was bailed to appear before magistrates on October 25. JPs ordered psychiatric reports.

SWINDON: Carl Duringer, 52, of Pavenhill, was fined £90 for using a Mercedes vehicle whilst it was unlicensed. He must also pay £40 in owed vehicle excise duty.

SWINDON: Kelly Goddard, 37, of Harrington Close, Newbury, admitted two counts of bilking. She is said to have twice made off from petrol stations without paying for £20 of fuel. She must pay £40 compensation, £90 victim surcharge and £50 costs.

BLUNSDON: Nichola Wood, 45, of Emerald Crescent, was fined £45 for using an unlicensed Peugeot 207. She was told to pay £10 in vehicle excise back duty.

ELDENE: Aaron Betterton, 19, of Bowleymead, was given a 12 week curfew and told to pay £60 costs after he admitted failing to comply with a community order. Betterton didn’t attend five probation office appointments and three unpaid work sessions.

PINEHURST: Danni Eccleston, 25, of Spindle Tree Court, must do an extra five rehabilitation activity days after she admitted failing to attend unpaid work appointments in August. Magistrates ordered she pay £60 costs to the probation service.

PENHILL: Ross McCulloch, 32, of Ramsbury Avenue, had the terms of his community order changed after it was said he was unsuitable for the probation service's thinking skills programme.

McCulloch was given the order last November after he was convicted of racially aggravated criminal damage, public order offences and assaulting a constable.

SWINDON: Keith Coley, 54, of Bulkington, was fined £120 and given six penalty points for driving his Ford Transit on the M4 while it was uninsured. He must pay costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.

SWINDON: Selene Cripps, 56, of Ashton Keynes, was fined £440 for driving a BMW X3 on Thamesdown Drive without due care and attention.

The charge was proved in her absence. She was given six penalty points and ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
