Christ Church will be opening its doors today for the Old Town Autumn Fayre.

The event, which starts at 12pm and lasts until 4pm, is free to enter and is open to everybody.

As part of the heritage open day, the church is offering a variety of stalls as well as games such as hook a duck and splat the rat.

Inside the Victorian church itself, there will be the opportunity for any visitors to climb the 46 steps of the tower and take turn at ringing the bells.

Food will be supplied by Dotty’s Cafe, with a beer tent also available.

Money raised from the open day will go towards keeping the church in good condition and preserving the heritage of the site.

The Gemma Short Academy of Dance and Lawn Manor Academy will provide entertainment, such as singers and dancers, from 12.45pm to 1.45pm.

A bouncy castle has also been provided by Sky’s the Limit.
