A PAIR of 16-year-old boys were the youngest of eight men arrested as police stepped up their blitz on County Lines drug dealing.

Officers raided five homes in Mazurek Way, Kennedy Drive, Bowleymead, Whitworth Road and Tudor Walk.

A total of eight people were arrested on suspicion of supplying crack cocaine and heroin. They included five teenagers aged 16 to 19, as well as men aged 37, 41 and 51.

Two men arrested following a series of raids on Monday morning have been charged and are due before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Connor Cahill, 20, of no fixed address, has been charged with three counts of possession with intent to supply crack and heroin, one count of supplying heroin and one count of supplying crack.

Sean Drayton, 46, of Penhill Drive, has been charged with supplying heroin and crack cocaine and one count of resisting arrest.

Det Insp Paul Franklin said: "Our work to stop criminal gangs pushing drugs in to our towns and county continues.

"County Lines destroys lives and it’s our job to enforce the law and target these gangs to crack-down on illegal drug dealing.

"Our work is also about prevention and protection - trying to stop the exploitation of children and vulnerable adults who get caught up with these drug networks.”
