The ruling Conservative cabinet of Swindon Borough Council will discuss two possible commercial investments at its meeting next week.

And it will do it in secret.

The agenda for the cabinet meeting on Wednesday contains two items which will see members of the public and the press asked to leave the cabinet room before discussions start.

One item is billed as “investment opportunity: industrial premises in Stratton St Margaret”. The other is a discussion of “potential acquisition of property in Park South."

They are exempt from the public because they are to do with commercial payments.

Other items, which will be discussed in public will be an update of the council’s budget, possible changes to polling districts and stations across the borough and the Swindon health and care board.

The meeting starts at 6pm at the civic offices in Euclid Street. The public may attend.
