North Swindon MP and minister for disabled people Justin Tomlinson visited The Entertainer to support Autism Hour.

He was joined by Tim Nicholls from the National Autistic Society.

The toyshop's branches across the UK host an autism hour every Saturday, during which they dim the lights and reduce the noise level to create a calmer environment.

Mr Tomlinson said: “Autism Hour is an important concept to raise awareness about the challenges autistic people can face when going to the shops.

“I’m proud that Swindon businesses like the Entertainer is supporting it.

“By making small changes, businesses can make such a difference in improving the day-to-day lives of their customers with hidden conditions.

“Whether it’s making simple adjustments like turning the music down or by providing awareness training for staff.”
