DREAM was made a reality for patient at White Lodge Care Home.

The care home took Kim Barrett, 62, to Swindon Town FC’s home ground.

Staff at the White Lodge at Braydon Road near Purton Stoke heard about Kim’s wish to go to the stadium and they wanted to make it happen.

He has been living at White Lodge for two years and was over the moon when they surprised him: “It has made my year to meet two of my favourite players, Don Rogers and John Trollope, it was fantastic.”

Kim got the opportunity to meet John Trollope who is a former footballer, manager and coach of the team.

And Don Rogers who is an ex-football player for Swindon Town.

The general manager at the home Jessa Avila said: “We want everyone we care for to know how important they are to us here at White Lodge. It was so nice to see how happy Kim was and the staff loved being a part of this as well.”

He was taken by the activity co-ordinator Tina Hughes and carer Chloe Anderson.
