SIDE by Side is calling for more volunteers to reduce loneliness in people living with dementia.
The service works alongside the Alzheimer’s Society and has two people in Wroughton who need a volunteer to give them a bit of company.
A spokeswoman for the service said: “We have one lady with limited mobility who would love to be able to get out of the house every now and then for a cup of tea and a chat.
“We also have one gentleman who would love to be able to go for short walks, visit a local cafe or have the odd game of cards.”
Volunteers at Side by Side help those with dementia to have an active life to reduce loneliness and isolation.
Anyone who is wanting to become a volunteer can contact Moira Conroy on 07484 089239 or moira.conroy@alzheimers.org.uk.
