NATIONWIDE will be offering grants to help tackle the housing crisis.
It will help support vulnerable people by providing these grants to housing projects and charities.
Nationwide's regional director for the south west Andrew Manning said: "We recognise there is a housing crisis, resulting in many people living in unsuitable, insecure or unaffordable accommodation.
"So, to help make a real and lasting difference, we are making over £20 million available in grant funding for housing-related charities and organisations across the UK over 5 years."
It will be offering grants between £10,000 and £50,000 for projects supporting the most vulnerable people in communities in the area.
So far it has awarded over £7 million in grants to 180 projects.
Applications can be sent into Nationwide to be considered by a community board of Nationwide members and employees.
Applications can be submitted until November 22 this year at www.nationwide.co.uk/communityfunding
