FREE table tennis will be available to all Brunel shoppers as of today.

The new Ping Pong Parlour will open at 10.30am on the top floor of the Brunel Arcade, next to The Crossing.

Shoppers are invited to drop in and play on one of the two tables with an additional table set to be added elsewhere in the centre in the coming weeks.

To make things even better, there will be no charge for the balls and bats which will be provided.

The Brunel has teamed up with Table Tennis England, the sport's national governing body, to bring the project to life.

Centre manager Jane Stewart said: "We're really pleased the free Ping Pong Parlour has joined us at the Brunel.

"It's a great addition to the facilities at The Crossing and we're expecting it to be really popular with both adults and children alike."

Ping Pong Parlours have already opened up over 50 locations in shopping centres nationwide and form part of Table Tennis England's vision to inspire people to get avtive and lead healthier lifestyles by introducing table tennis into unexpected, non-traditional places.

The area will be open throughout the normal Brunel centre opening hours.
