A THIEF took more than £100 from a victim’s bank account after stealing a credit card.
Wiltshire Police have released CCTV images of a person they would like to speak to in connection with the use of a stolen credit card.
The card was taken from a car in Gooch Street, and then used for several contactless payments totalling £110, including a the Applegreen Petrol Station, Great Western Way, between 3am and 4.15am on October 18.
The suspect is believed to be female, with dyed red hair and was wearing a distinctive grey Nike hooded top, black leggings and carrying a sand-coloured holdall.
Officers are warning motorists to be vigilant and ensure cars are locked and valuable items are removed.
PC Steve Yeates, from Swindon Community Policing Team said: “Motorists should always be extremely careful with any valuable items. Unfortunately, there are people who will look to take advantage of that one time a purse is left on show or a car door may be accidentally left unlocked.
“Be vigilant: remove valuables from cars when you are not in them and double check you have locked you car before going to bed.”
Anyone with information should call 101.
