TALENTED pupils had the chance to show off their acting, singing and dancing skills when a professional theatre company turned their Calne school into Sherwood Forest.
Children in classes from Kindergarten to Year 6 at St Margaret’s Prep School enjoyed the thrills and spills of the legend of Robin Hood with Image Musical Theatre.
The morning was spent in workshops preparing for the afternoon’s big production.
A spokesman for the theatre group, which is taking part in a nationwide tour of schools, said:”Children joined in a sing along and helped Robin and his band of swashbuckling merry team rob the rich to feed the poor. Along the way they had to undertake quests and go on many adventures to stop the Sheriff’s dastardly plan.
St Margaret’s Headmaster Luke Bromwich said: “It was such a fun session for all the children and a great way to celebrate performing arts in the school.”
