Mamas and Papas in Swindon
MAMAS and Papas has gone into administration just less than a week after Mothercare announced it would close.
It has closed six of its stores and made over 70 of its staff redundant with Swindon's branch now at risk of closing.
The stores that closed on Friday include Leamington, Aberdeen, Fareham, Preston, Milton Keynes and Lincoln.
The retailer now only has 27 stores open across the country.
Swindon's store at Mannington Retail Park in Great Western Way has remained open but its future could be under threat.
Mamas and Papas is a UK based retailer which was established in Huddersfield and has been open since 1981.
It was opened by David and Luisa Scacchetti making a revenue of 133.7 million.
