SWINDON is on flood alert, with heavy rain forecast for the whole of Thursday.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the town lasting until 10pm.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Persistent rain may bring disruption from flooding.
"There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings."
There is a 90 per cent chance of heavy rain expected for Swindon with temperatures at 4 degrees.
A spokesperson said: "There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life.
"Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services."
Driving could be made difficult by the conditions and there's a small chance some communities could be cut off because of roads flooding.
Rainfall is expected to reach up to 40-60mm.
