Sitcom star Sally Thomsett seems to have been invited to a Swindon Viewpoint celebration in the mid-1970s
CONNOISSEURS of vintage sitcoms are invited to look carefully at the woman standing amid the men in this picture.
She is Sally Thomsett, best known for her roles in Man About the House and classic family film The Railway Children.
The occasion seems to have been a special occasion at Swindon Viewpoint, the pioneering Swindon Cable TV channel based in premises at the bottom of Victoria Road.
A possible date for the picture is May of 1976, when the actress was appearing in a play at the Wyvern Theatre.
Standing to her right is Viewpoint boss Richard Dunn, who went on to become a senior figure at Thames Television.
