TRAFFIC officers have reported a runaway digger on the M4 between Chippenham and Swindon.
The Highways Agency said there were reports of a digger having become detatched from the vehicle towing it.
The construction equipment was stranded in the outside lane eastbound between junctions 17 and 16.
