The council’s cabinet member for housing and public safety will be in the hotseat on Monday.

It is Cathy Martyn's turn to face questions from members of Swindon Borough Council’s scrutiny committee.

They will ask her about the provision of affordable housing in Swindon and work to help rough sleepers and provide homes for those without one.

Licensing will also be a subject to come up in questions. A report made by Coun Martyn before the meeting says the licensing of taxi drivers has been one of the priorities for the council’s officers.

Coun Martyn will also discuss the air quality action plan for Kingshill Road, which has been approved by the council’s cabinet and is being worked through with the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

The meeting starts at 6pm at the council’s offices in Euclid Street.

Members of the public are entitled to attend and ask questions in a special session.
