The figures have been released to mark a quarter of a century since the first National Lottery draw on November 19, 1994.

They include:
- Seeking out wildlife and logging them in a database with Warrington’s Wildlife Detectives.
- Rejuvenating the glasshouses at Walton Hall – a project completed in September. Almost £2 million was awarded
Supporting All Saints’ Church in Thelwall to continue serving the community and celebrating its 175-year history – a project currently under way.

David Renwick, director, England, North at The National Lottery Heritage Fund, said: “It’s the National Lottery’s 25th birthday and a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the impact of National Lottery funding across the UK and in Warrington.
"From saving historic buildings and helping nature to thrive to celebrating our diverse cultures and shared stories, there is so much that quite simply would not be possible without National Lottery players.”
