THE Wiltshire Council elections team has secured all but nine of their usual polling stations for the upcoming General Election.
Despite the busy Christmas period 348 out of 357 polling stations will remain the same on December 12.
Carlton Brand, Acting Returning Officer for Wiltshire said: "Our team has worked really hard to secure all the polling stations. Booking these venues was one of our biggest hurdles to clear and I'd like to thank those who are responsible for running the churches, halls and community spaces up and down the county for accommodating us at such short notice.
"The name of your local polling station will be printed on your poll card, and you will receive these very soon."
Postal poll cards have been sent out, and polling cards will follow in due course.
The polls will be open from 7am until 10pm with 357 polling stations available throughout the county.
If people want to nominate someone else to vote on their behalf, they have until 5pm on December 4 to register. People are advised not to leave it until the last minute.
