CBeebies star and prolific pantomime actor Chris Jarvis delivered a guest assembly at Swindon’s Drove Primary School on Tuesday.
Drawing on years of television experience, Chris talked to pupils in years 3 to 5 about how TV shows are made.
He shared some of his experiences as an actor and presenter before teaching the children about camerawork, green screens and script writing.
Chris then read a verse from Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and took questions from the students.
Assistant principal Bryony Bardwell said: “It was fantastic to have Chris visit the school. He had our pupils hooked on his every word.
"Our children have been preparing for their own performances recently, so it was a real confidence boost for them to learn from such a well-known and successful actor and presenter.
"At Drove, we regularly arrange events and visits that complement the curriculum and enhance our pupils' learning. In doing so, the children make unforgettable memories while also developing their knowledge and skills."
Chris is starring in the Wyvern Theatre's Sleeping Beauty panto this Christmas with actress Michelle Collins.
