Swindon and Wiltshire Pride is set to open a pop-up shop in the Brunel shopping centre.
The temporary store will be open on Saturday, December 14, and Sunday, December 15.
Run by the LGBTQ+ charity, the shop will be selling Pride merchandise to raise funds for the 2020 festival, which will be held on Saturday, August 8.
Phoenix Stewart, the community engagement manager, said: “We are extremely excited to be opening up our very first pop-up shop and we are grateful to the Brunel shopping centre for supporting us.
“This is an opportunity for us to provide that much-needed visible presence on the high street and to show that it’s okay to be LGBTQ+.”
Alongside a range of Pride merchandise, the store will be running a Drag Queen Story Hour at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.
The session will be aimed at children aged between three and seven and admission will be free.
Pride said the aim of the story hour is to celebrate diversity and encourage children to look beyond gender stereotypes and to ‘embrace the unfettered exploration of self’.

The shop will be located next to The Cutting Bar in the lower plaza of the centre.
