ST AUGUSTINE’S Church is hosting its first community Christmas tree festival.

Between December 16 and December 22 the church in Rodbourne will be adorned with festive firs decorated and sponsored by members of the community.

Individuals, families, businesses and organisations are invited to decorate the spruces with a theme reflecting themselves.

Visitors can vote for their favourite tree and a donation will be given to charity or the community group behind the winning tree.

Lay minister Neil Fisher said: “We wanted to do something again this year to bring the community together, and to show what an amazing building we have here.”

The church will be open between 12pm – 2pm and 6pm - 9pm during the week, on Saturday between 9.30am to11.30am and 2pm -6pm and on Sunday between 12pm and 5pm.
