RODBOURNE: Terry Horwat, 32, of Franckyln Acre, Marlborough, admitted drink driving and driving without insurance or a licence.

He was behind the wheel of a red Chevrolet on Rodbourne Road on September 21 when breathalyser tests found he was twice over the legal limit. He had 69 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The limit is 35 microgrammes.

He was fined £400, banned from driving for 20 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.

STRATTON: Terrence Pontin, 43, of Meadowcroft, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place and failing to answer bail.

He was fined £85 for the disorderly behaviour and £50 for the Bail Act offence. He must also pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

FRESHBROOK: Flasher Christopher Blatch, 56, of Uxbridge Road, was handed a community order after he admitted exposing his genitals intending someone who would be caused distress.

The flashing was said to have taken place on July 11. He was given a six-month community order with a mental health treatment requirement.

Blatch must pay £175 costs and a £90 victim surcharge. He must also sign on to the sex offender’s register for five years.

SWINDON: Jade Rogers, 29, of Marlborough Road, denies taking a Ford Focus without consent, stealing a Samsung tablet, Nationwide credit card and tobacco from another.

She was bailed for a trial at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on February 3 next year.

TOOTHILL: James George, 30, of Deerhurst Way, was found guilty in his absence of stealing a North Face jacket worth £175 from JD Sports on November 27 last year.

He was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge.

SWINDON: Joshua Hutchings, 19, of Stowell Road, admitted two battery charges. He was fined £19 and ordered to pay £117 in costs and victim surcharge.

SWINDON: Clayton Scott, 30, of Botley Copse, pleaded guilty to damaging a Vauxhall Astra.

He was ordered to pay £400 compensation and £85 costs.

SWINDON: Gracious Simango, 29, of London Road, Hertfordshire, denied assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault by beating.

He was bailed to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on February 6 for the trial.

STRATTON: Matthew Brown, 32, of Ermin Street, admitted assault, assaulting a police officer and two counts of disorderly behaviour.

Magistrates made him subject to an 18-month community order with a six-month alcohol treatment requirement. He must also pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £90 victim surcharge.

TOWN CENTRE: Frank Palha, 52, of Ponting Street, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman. He must pay a £146 fine and £117 in costs and surcharge.

TOWN CENTRE: Paul Francombe, 30, of no fixed address, admitted two counts using threatening or insulting words or behaviour against others with the intent of causing harassment, alarm or distress.

A begging charge was withdrawn.

Magistrates fined him £80 and ordered he pay a £30 victim surcharge. Both were deemed paid by time served.

SWINDON: John Young, 39, of Norman Road, was jailed for eight weeks after he admitted shoplifting.

Young took meat and cheese from Co-op on October 14, meat worth £50 from Iceland on July 8 and meat from Iceland to the value of £46 on July 2 and £120 worth of meat from Aldi on June 24. Magistrates ordered he pay a £115 victim surcharge.

TOWN CENTRE: Andrew Ratajczak, 60, of Park Lane, was handed a suspended prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to two battery matters.

In what magistrates described as a shocking and violent attack committed while in drink, Ratajczak assaulted the pair in Blunsdon on August 10.

He was sentenced to 16 weeks imprisonment suspended for 12 months and pay £400 compensation, £85 costs and a £122 surcharge.

NYTHE: Jan Jevdet, 53, of Chalford Avenue, was fined £40 for stealing a bottle of vodka from Asda. He must pay £15 compensation and £115 in costs and surcharge.
