A PAIR who stabbed a man in a Swindon town centre park have been jailed.
Lee Sparks – who earlier this year was himself attacked with a samurai sword – and pal Anthony Gardiner left their victim, a man in his 50s, with cuts to his arms and back.
They stabbed the man in Spring Gardens, near Swindon Borough Council’s offices, on Tuesday, August 13.
Appearing before Swindon Crown Court, Sparks, 38, and Gardiner, 61, both of no fixed address, admitted GBH.
Gardiner received a 21 month jail sentence and Sparks was handed an 18 month jail term.
In February, Sparks was stabbed in the chest by samurai sword-wielding friend Terence Ryan. The latter had accused Sparks of stealing his mum’s morphine from her home. Ryan, 40, was found guilty of GBH with intent and jailed for seven years and three months.
