OLD TOWN: Jasjeet Sumal, 45, of Brunswick Street, admitted harassing a fellow Green Party member – peppering him with social media messages and phone calls.

Magistrates fined her £108 and made her subject to a year-long restraining order banning her from contacting the man save for attendance at Green Party disciplinary hearings.

Sumal was ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £125 costs.

UPPER STRATTON: Daniel Hegarty, 28, of Addison Crescent, denies assault by beating, failing to provide a breath set for analysis and driving without insurance.

He is alleged to have been behind the wheel of a Seat Ibiza on Cherill Way on Christmas Day last year.

He was grated bail for the trial at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on March 12.

WROUGHTON: Charges have been dismissed against Martin Willis, 31, of Lords Close.

Willis had been accused of stealing another man’s wallet on January 14 and using it to withdraw £50 from a cashpoint. Charges were dismissed.

HAYDON END: Declan Wilson, 25, of White Eagle Road, was given a 12 month conditional discharge after he admitted threatening to damage a woman’s window.

Wilson was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £21 victim surcharge.

CRICKLADE: Jack Hope, 32, of Common Hill, admitted stealing three Woodwick candles from the town centre Boots store.

He was jailed for a total of 16 weeks after magistrates activated two previous suspended sentences having heard Hope had failed to respond to previous court orders.

SWINDON: Colin Davis, 42, of Wolsely Avenue, was sentenced to 200 hours of unpaid work after he pleaded guilty to stalking.

He sent his female victim texts and emails, the court heard.

Magistrates made him subject to a 12-month community order, with a requirement to carry out a relationships programme and the unpaid work.

A five-year restraining order was made banning him from contacting his victim, visiting two streets in Walcot and the Miller and Carter restaurant.

He must pay £35 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

SWINDON: Jason Stiggers, 21, will face a crown court judge over drug dealing and weapons charges.

Stiggers has been charged with possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply, possession of a police baton at Buckhurst recreation ground, and cannabis possession.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Swindon Crown Court on December 13 for plea.

GORSE HILL: Scott Nelson, 27, of Menham Close, was granted a six-month conditional discharge for damaging the rear window of a Vauxhall Corsa.

He must pay £85 costs and a £21 victim surcharge.

GORSE HILL: Benjamin Martin, 24, of Edinburgh Street, was fined £40 after he admitted damaging a woman’s phone.

Martin must pay £40 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

SWINDON: Simon Ambler, 42, denied assaulting a man. He was bailed for the trial at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on January 15.

ELDENE: Ricky Mills, 28, of Beresford Close, admitted assault by beating. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £70 in costs and surcharge.
