STONEWOOD Partnerships has made two important appointments as it launches its first housing development.

Jasmine Padden has joined the team at the company’s new office in Tormarton as Sales and Marketing Manager and Matthew Crook has been appointed a site manager with responsibility for Somerbrook, Stonewood’s 38-home development at Brook Farm, near Great Somerford in north Wiltshire.

Jasmine brings with her more than 16 years’ experience in marketing and more than eight in land and new homes.

She says: “I really seeing people find their new home and I think it’s a privilege to be involved in that. Watching a development take shape is exciting and then when families come and see it and choose where they are going to live does give you a tremendous sense of satisfaction.”

The former Sales and Marketing Manager for HAB Housing UK is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and discovered a passion for residential development in her role as Land and New Homes Negotiator for estate agent Andrews & Partners in Keynsham. “I worked with a great many developers and enjoyed helping see numerous projects through,” she says.

Now she is taking that level of involvement a step further by becoming involved at Somerbrook’s design stage. She is using her experience in selling new homes as well as that of a mum with a young family to contribute her ideas to ensure each home fits the brief of being an ideal space for modern families.

She says: “I’ve suggested some things that I know families will find useful and that for me has been really rewarding. This development is going to be very special, the designs, the location, the feel of the place, and I can’t wait for the show home to be finished in the summer so we can share it with people. We’ve had a lot of intertest already so we know it is going to be popular.”

Somerbrook, which borders a farm first established in the 1500s, comprises a mixture of two, three, four and five-bedroomed homes that are terraced, link detached or detached. The village-style homes are sensitively integrated around open spaces, an unobtrusive access road and designated parking for every dwelling.

The homes have been sensitively designed to mirror those in the nearby village by reflecting the same exterior finishes – stone, red brick and premium quality roughcast render. They also feature the same eclectic mix of chimneys.

Matthew Crook brings 14 years of experience with large builders to Stonewood’s first housing development. His job as site manager involves weaving vast threads of information from architects, designers, surveyors, builders and salespeople into one cohesive pattern.

“I also deal with customers, potential customers and the people already living in the area so I am the face of the development. It is up to me to make sure everything goes smoothly and create beautiful homes.”

He has also been able to contribute his own ideas into the designs, something that he has enjoyed. He says: “I’ve been involved in helping some of the designers’ ideas work and that is exciting. Stonewood are trying to do something different in terms of quality of finish and the generous space and it is going to be fascinating and satisfying to watch it all take shape.

“Brook Farm is a fantastic site surrounded by beautiful countryside and I’m going to enjoy getting to know the area and the people here.”
