Parks Initiated Projects Swindon is looking for volunteers.
On January 23 at St John’s Church Hall on Whitbourne Avenue there will be a meeting of Cuppa and Chat between 11.45am-12.45pm where people can learn more about the roles available.
A spokesperson for the project said: “We are looking for volunteers to come together and run Cuppa and Chat each Thursday. Volunteers will be responsible for setting up, closing down and working alongside each other, sharing roles within the kitchen.
“If you would like to help, then please come along on.”
Anyone volunteering will be eligible for a reference from PIPS when applying for paid jobs.
The scheme dedicated to the Park North and Park South communities and provides residents with access to information about health and wellbeing, debt management and mental health. It also hosts community parties, bingo and karaoke events, a toddler group, as well as the weekly Cuppa and Chat group.
