TV star Paul Martin is joining forces with a Wiltshire auctioneer to help raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance with a free valuation service for prospective sellers.

The charity's ambassador and star of BBC’s Flog It! will link up with the family-run Henry Aldridge & Son Ltd business at Melksham Assembly Hall on Saturday January 25 from 10am to 3pm.

Entry is free and attendees can bring along antiques, jewellery and collectables they would like to receive free valuations for, with no obligation to sell.

Mr Martin said: “I’ve been an ambassador for Wiltshire Air Ambulance for three years now because it’s a charity that is so important to the local area.

“It requires the support of the public and local businesses to help generate the £3.75 million it needs every year to keep flying and saving lives.

“I’m really looking forward to linking up with Henry Aldridge & Son Ltd for this project, which will benefit the people of Wiltshire and their air ambulance.

“So if you’ve got an antique or a collectable stashed away, even if you don’t plan to sell it, why not pop along and receive a free valuation.”

Mr Martin and the auctioneers will give a guide price on what each item should expect to go for if it was sold at auction.

Attendees will also have the option to put forward their item or items for sale at Fine Art Antiques and Collectables Sale auctions – either on Saturday 1 February or Saturday 14 March

All of the sellers' commission from every sale will be donated by the Devizes-based auctioneers to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance fundraising manager Des Regan said: “This is a fantastic way for one of our ambassadors to use their skills and link up with a local business to help generate funds for our charity.

“We can’t thank Paul and the team at Henry Aldridge & Son Ltd enough for their support in putting on this event, as well as Melksham Assembly Hall for hosting us, and we’d like to see as many people as possible coming out to support the event.”
