SWINDON: Peter Murphy, 49, of London Road, Marlborough, pleaded guilty to drink driving on Great Western Way on November 8.

Murphy was behind the wheel of a VW Golf when he had 73 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35.

He was fined £90 and banned from driving for 20 months. Magistrates ordered he pay £40 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.

SWINDON: Nikolt Stefanovic, 65, of The Mead, Ashton Keynes, was given five penalty points for failing to stop after his Peugeot 307 hit a Ford B-Max outside the Park Lane GP surgery on May 22.

He had pleaded guilty to failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident to police.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

WALCOT: Jordan Collier, 21, of Hartford Close, pleaded guilty to a battery. Together with an unknown woman she assaulted a man on May 5 last year.

Magistrates ordered she do 60 hours of unpaid work and pay £75 compensation. She must pay a £10 victim surcharge.

OLD TOWN: Michael Jenkins, 41, of Lethbridge Road, pleaded guilty to two counts of racially aggravated disorderly behaviour.

He was fined £543 and ordered to pay the £85 prosecution costs.

OLD TOWN: Arash Raeisinezhadian, 35, of Shrivenham Road, Highworth, was banned from the roads for 19 months after he pleaded guilty to drink driving.

Breathalyser tests showed Raeisinezhadian had 73 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath after he was stopped on High Street, Old Town, on November 9.

Magistrates fined him £350 and ordered he pay £120 in costs and surcharge.

TOWN CENTRE: Shohidur Rahman, 42, of Beaumont Road, Walcot, pleaded guilty to stealing four bottles of alcohol together worth £180 from Tesco on September 14.

He was fined £63, must pay £90 in compensation and £117 in costs.

PENHILL: Kirk Richardson, 25, of Penhill Drive, was fined £440 for trying to import pepper spray into the country.

He pleaded guilty to being knowingly concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of prohibited weapons.

Magistrates ruled the spray forfeit. Richardson must pay £85 costs and a £44 victim surcharge.

SWINDON: Billy-Jo Cosgrave, 23, of Essex Walk, pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol, a vacuum cleaner and a food preparation machine from Tesco, clothing from Peacocks and assaulting a woman.

He was granted unconditional bail to be sentenced by magistrates on January 22.

SWINDON: Jade Dent, 28, of Yelland Walk, admitted stealing £55 worth of clothing from Peacocks. The offence was committed jointly with Billy-Jo Cosgrave.

She also pleaded guilty to taking £250-worth of clothes and gifts from Peacocks on December 12 and perfume and make-up worth £95 from Boots two days before.

She was given a 12 month community order with a requirement to complete up to 20 rehabilitation activity days. Dent must pay £250 compensation to Peacocks and £95 compensation to Boots.

STRATTON: Trishton Whyte, 19, of Ruskin Avenue, was found guilty of common assault. He must complete 100 hours of unpaid work, pay £100 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

WROUGHTON: Harry Adams, 23, of Thorney Park, pleaded guilty to possession of 36.6g of cannabis. He was fined £207 and ordered to pay £117 in costs and surcharge. The drugs were forfeit.

WOODHALL PARK: Julian Lee, 46, of Bernet Close, pleaded guilty to drink driving.

Breathalyser tests found he had 99 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath when he was stopped on Rodbourne Road on November 9. The legal limit is 35.

He was banned from driving for 40 months and must pay £85 costs and a £90 victim surcharge.

PENHILL: Liam Wells, 27, of Durnford Road, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a sample of blood, driving a Ford Ka without due care and attention, driving without a licence, insurance or MOT, failing to stop for police and possession of cannabis resin. He was bailed to appear before magistrates on January 31 for sentence and was made subject to an interim driving ban.
