COMMUTERS can relax and have a pint while waiting for their trains after a pub has installed live on-screen timetable information.
The Royal Alfred pub, located near to St Helens Central train station, has added the facility at its premises which provides real-time platform information.

The Royal Alfred hopes it can offer travellers the chance to relax and have a drink in warmer more comfortable surroundings without having to worry about missing their train.
The pub started its new lease of life last November under new owners Gary Wright, who has the Talbot Ale House on Duke Street, and Steve Goodman.

The pub has undergone a light refurbishment downstairs with new furniture, cellar and dispensing equipment in place.
It also announced plans for food, live music and a B&B-style service.
