The Royal Alfred hopes it can offer travellers the chance to relax and have a drink in warmer more comfortable surroundings without having to worry about missing their train.

The pub started its new lease of life last November under new owners Gary Wright, who has the Talbot Ale House on Duke Street, and Steve Goodman.
