A charity dog walk is taking place at the start of February to raise funds for Guide Dogs UK.

Starting outside the cafe at Lydiard Park, the walk will give dog owners a chance to have their pups socialise as well as raise some money for the charity.

The event is being organised by Emma Creasey of Creasey Canines, a dog training company.

She said: “After watching a documentary on Guide Dogs, I realised just how much goes into the breeding, training and selection process and really wanted to help Guide Dogs UK raise some extra money.

“So I decided to host a charity dog walk through my company Creasey’s Canines, but along side raising money I also wanted to give people an opportunity to socialise their dogs and meet like minded people with the added bonus of having a dog trainer on hand.”

The walk takes place on Sunday, February 9 at 2pm.
